VIRGINIA—Three area golfers punched their tickets to the Class A State Golf Meet on Thursday at the Section 7A Championships at the Virginia Golf Course.

In the girls’ tournament, North Woods’ Tori Olson finished second overall with a two-day score of 170 to make it back to the big dance. Ely/Northeast Range’s Abby Koivisto also punched a return ticket to state, taking third with a 183. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley’s Kianna Johnson took home top honors with a 168.
