The Iron Range and its rich history of mining is in a fight for its future, and the deck is stacked against it.
There’s overreaching actions taken by a lame duck administration, there’s delays forced by lawsuit after lawsuit from deep-pocketed environmental groups, and there’s scare tactics to steer popular opinion against the region’s way of life.
They refuse to discuss this issue, vital to the Iron Range, on the Iron Range? Among Iron Range miners? Why? What are they afraid of?
So ask yourself, where is the Democrat Party/DFL? I recall that Al Franken said that he was going to take these things up with Mine Slayer Barack Obama. What happened there? Why isn't our elected representation fighting for OUR lives and future? Why isn't the Minnesota Legislature actively involved in this? You remember the Minnesota Legislature? The one de-funded by Liberal Governor Mark Dayton?
About all I hear from our elected representatives beyond useless platitudes is deafening silence.
How anyone can actually think that the Democrat Party/DFL is still on their side is beyond me. The DFL is far too busy settling Somalians in the Twin Cities to have any interest in Minnesotans on the Iron range.
