Bruce Timothy Blyckert of Virginia passed away on April 1, 2020, at Waterview Woods in Eveleth. He was 65.
Bruce was born September 13, 1954, in Virginia to Verner and Alice (Bogart) Blyckert and graduated from Mt. Iron High School. Bruce purchased land north of Virginia, and being very handy and hardworking, he cleared the land and built a log cabin all by himself. Sadly, Bruce was forced to sell his home which was his pride and joy, when he lost his eyesight and was unable to drive.
One of Bruce’s high points of his life was when he drove to Alaska where he picked up a white Malamute puppy named Whalelo. Bruce was employed at Orv’s Appliance for over 30 years and for the last 7 years at Perpich TV & Appliance. His family would like to thank the Orv’s Appliance and Perpich TV & Appliance crew’s for taking him under their wings. He could not have worked for a better group of people. Bruce is survived by sisters, Carol (Pete) Boorman, Judy (John) Fertig, Helen (Tom) Hankus, and one brother Verner (Judy) Blyckert, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bruce is also survived by his very close friends at Perpich TV & Appliance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles We would like to thank the staff at Carefree Living in Virginia and Hospice at Water View Woods in Eveleth for their compassionate care.
