ST. PAUL — A conference committee will have different versions of governance change for the Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation Board to consider during the final week of the 2016 legislative session.

The House on Thursday approved a bill that calls for drastic altering of the IRRR Board. It would establish a nine-member board comprised of six legislators without any regional jurisdiction, meaning they could represent any part of the state, and three citizen members from the Iron Range.
