HIBBING — Christine Elizabeth Nyberg and Alex Michael Gornick were united in the Sacrament of Marriage on Sept. 26, 2015, at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Gabriel Waweru.
Parents of the bride are Bob and Kathy Nyberg of Hibbing. Parents of the groom are Tom and Terry Gornick of Chisholm. Grandparents of the bride are Joanne (and the late Ramon) Bugliosi, and the late Albert and Edna Nyberg, all of Hibbing. Grandparents of the groom are Genesia (and the late Michael) Baron, and the late Albert and Elvie Gornick, all of Chisholm.
The bride was attended by her two sisters, Nicole Anderson, maid of honor, and Melissa Erickson. Other bridesmaids were sister-in-law, Megan Gornick, and friends, Taylor (Varichak) Stolhammer, Hannah Wells and Anna Hammerschmidt. Junior bridesmaids were the bride’s twin cousins, Jennifer and Elizabeth Valley. Her personal attendants were Michelle Patregnani, Steph Skomra and Hannah Flood. Flower girls were Harper Anderson, Charli Gornick and Aylin Wuebben, nieces of the bride and groom.
The groom was attended by his two brothers, Jeff Gornick, best man, and Barry Gornick. His groomsmen were friends, Brian Arola, Laine Skoglund, Jake Schuster and Joe Vidmar. Ushers were Blake Mosel, and brother-in-laws, Matt Anderson and Matt Erickson. Ring bearers were Oscar and Linus Thompson, cousins of the bride, and Brant Gornick, nephew of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance were held at Valentini’s Supper Club in Chisholm.
Christine is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Duluth, and is currently attending the nursing program at Hibbing Community College.
Alex is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Superior, and is employed at Hibbing Taconite.
The couple resides in Hibbing.
